Pak Navy all set to help preserve mangrove forests

On the occasion of launching of Mangroves Plantation Campaign-2020 in line with Govt.’s initiative of Clean & Green Pakistan, Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi reiterated that Navy was committed to play its role in preserving mangrove forests and the environment.

Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi told that Pakistan Navy had been undertaking Mangroves Plantation Campaigns for the last four years during which over six million saplings had been planted along the coastal belt of Sindh and Balochistan.

Zafar Mahmood pointed out that mangroves helped fending-off adverse effects of coastal hazards spurred by the climate change.
