Pak President lauds Turkish song on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi took to the Twitter today to appreciate  the oeuvre composed by Istanbul-based Turkish lyricist Turgay Evren (who happens to be a teacher of English language).

“Kashmir is my name”.

Massacre again and again

Which story I can tell?

Which pain I can sell?

Every day of mine is the same

For my shame is only shame

Kashmir, death is my fame

Torture endless torture

Which poem can I write?

Which tears Can I describe?

Suffering here is my sight

For dignity is my fight

Turgay Evren maintained: “Kashmir Is My Name!…This song, written by me and performed by Della Miles, the world famous American singer known as Michael Jackson’s and Whitney Houston’s vocalist, goes to all oppressed people of the world, deprived of freedom and justice.”

President Dr. Arif Alvi took to the Twitter to state: “Kashmir is My Name is a beautiful song written by Turkish songwriter (Turgay Evren) and sung by Della Miles, was a project of (Aziz Babuscu) member of Turkish Parliament. Kashmir shall win freedom. Must watch & retweet.”

Turkish song and Kashmir

“Keşmir benim adım ”.

Katliam tekrar tekrar

Hangi hikayeyi anlatabilirim?

Hangi acıyı satabilirim?

Her günüm aynı

Utançım sadece utanç

Keşmir, ölüm benim şöhretim

İşkence sonsuz işkence

Hangi şiiri yazabilirim?

Hangi gözyaşlarını tarif edebilirim?

Burada acı çekmek benim görüşüm

Çünkü haysiyet kavgamdır
