LONDON: Answering to a query posed by NewsPakistan.TV Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP)’s Vice President in the United Kingdom Arshad Siddiqui has claimed that PSP has been formed by ‘AGENCIES’.
He was addressing a Presser here at a local hotel in Barking area, held to announce his resignation from the Party.
When asked why it took him decades to leave MQM while he left PSP after a short period of affiliation, Arshad Siddiqui claimed that MQM was not a political party but a ‘MAFIA’ and despite knowing about its ‘CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES’ he could not dare to leave it. He claimed such elements were assassinated.
Answering to a question by a media person how many people were killed by MQM for leaving it or for speaking against it, Arshad Siddiqui was a bit perplexed and mumbled that they were taken to the task back in Pakistan.
Arshad Siddiqui went on to say that leader MQM London ‘under the influence of alcohol raised anti-Pakistan slogans’. When NewsPakistan.TV asked was that really under the influence of alcohol or was part of an agenda, Siddiqui again failed to answer and said that the Supremo ‘was made to drink and was made to act according to an Agenda’.
Insinuating that Mustafa Kamal wanted him to remain with PSP Arshad Siddiqui claimed that a call was made from Mustafa Kamal’s office in Karachi at 2AM (London Time) and he was told that PSP Chief wanted to talk to him. But Siddiqui said that he had refused to receive the call.
Quoting reasons of quitting PSP Arshad Siddiqui said that PSP was not acting according to the policies initially announced. He said that the kind of ‘indecent’ language PSP leaders were using in talk shows was not the culture of Sindh.
Arshad Hussain demanded PSP to reveal its source of funding. He also noted that PSP that claimed to be a national party had only four members in Punjab. Further accusing PSP of a one-man-dictatorship he asked who made Altaf Shahid the President? He informed that one day Haroon Raza came to London and presented a list of 32 office-bearers of PSP without informing how they were elected.
Siddiqui said that instead of addressing the basic issues like cleanliness and health etc., PSP was busy in the ‘abusive’ blame game. He asked what PSP has done so far for the overseas Pakistanis?
He said that what kind of ‘Washing Machine’ was in action that clears people involved in cases? Siddiqui asked 32 ‘larkay’ (boys) who had cases against them were arrested but were released without giving reason of their release. He demanded the basis on which they were exonerated should be made public.
He said initially it was agreed upon that those leaving MQM to join PSP would be scrutinized and proper detail of their past and character would be provided to the members.
Continuing to point out people who were made PSP members Siddiqui said what kind of case Anees Qaimkhani had against him?
Arshad Siddiqui said that people whose names were being quoted in Baldia Factory case were being inducted in PSP. He claimed that earlier there were armed conflict between MQM and Haqiqi, now PSP has emerged as a third party that has resorted to shooting and killing.
Commenting on recent accusations he said why Governor Ishratul-Ibad Khan was not responding to it. He also asked why the Governor not saying against the Panama Leaks and other such corruption cases.
Earlier Arshad Siddiqui provided copy of his resignation to NewsPakistan.TV. In the said correspondence (dated 17.10.2016) while addressing the Chairman PSP he said:
“Dear Mustafa, Following the recent revelations, I am writing with regret my resignation from Pak Sar Zameen Party.
“Your arrival to country early this year excited many of us who ere tired of anti-state rhetoric, murderous strategies and indecent language from the MQM leader … . I believed you will usher a new life into the policies which will demand decency in character.
In the last few weeks things have changed. A major chunk of the criminal elements from MQM with RAW connections have joined PSP and they have been welcomed by you personally.
“With deep regrets I must say your manner of speech and language is not befitting of a leader that will unite the community. Your recent use of language against a very decent ad respectable gentlemen has not only damaged the party’s image and cause but also your fitness for leadership is now questionable. I have deep concerns about PSP’s relationship with the MQM London leadership particularly with Mr. Nadeem Nusrat and therefore RAW.
“I can only offer you advice with my resignation as a good gesture to providing me with the position. I believe only you can sort out PSP by:
“1) Please step down as PSP leader and allow someone with decent language to take your place for a well versed future generation. Our children are going in the wrong direction with your presentation to the public.
2) Stop all contact with MQM London and remove elements of RAW and target killers from within the party.
“You offered unity and peace but your recent outburst against respectable Urdu speaking people has hurt the public cause and is causing disunity in the community.
“I hope these suggestions will be deeply examined and taken into consideration. If you continue the way you are with such conduct , I fear history will remember you as the man who destroyed the Urdu-Speaking community’s unity and cause the most”.
