KARACHI: Pakistan’s tennis ace player Aisam-ul-Haq along-with his team associate Rajeev Ram from USA, has successfully managed his way to the final of ATP Hall of Fame Tennis Championships* in New Port.
In the semi-finale, Pak-American pair confronted the opponents from India and Australia i.e. the duo of Leander Paes and Sam Groth.
Though, Aisam and Rajeev won merely four games in initial set of the match, they struck back robustly in the following set, claiming manifold match points with score of 7-6 to take the game into wonderful tie breaker.
The Pak-US duo continued their fight in the nail-biting super tie-breaker so as to win it 11/9 and qualify for the final.
Today they are going to play against Australian pair of Matt Reid and John Smith.
*Internatinal (grass court) tennis tournament The Hall of Fame Championships is held annually in the month of July. The event commenced back in 1976. It is the only grasscourt tournament held out of Europe.
