India causes disturbance in Pak-US relations: Zardari

DUBAI: Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that United States (US) and Pakistan bilateral ties have been worst affected in last 15 years.

In an interview, Zardari said that the US has given an indication regarding the disturbance in Pak-US relations by taking the decision to halt finance for F-16s planes purchase.

“The Pak-US relations have been disturbed due to Indian interference,” he said, “India needs US cooperation and that’s why it is trying to destroy the deal between Pakistan and US.”

However, he said, US government should cooperate with Pakistan and must take this partnership to new heights to maintain balance in the region.

Zardari went on saying that that Pakistan has become a strong democratic country in the region by attaining peace and development.

He also urged the US to cooperate with Pakistan in advancing the defence technology.
