Pakistan carried out nuclear tests on 28th May, 1998

CHAGAI (Kharan, Balochistan): Pakistan is observing Youm-e-Takbeer today when it successfully carried out nuclear tests here on 28th May 1998.

It is pertinent to mention here that due to Indian nuclear explosions Pakistan had to manifest its strength in order to maintain peace by means of deterrence in the region.

This made Pakistan globally the seventh nuclear state and the first in the Muslim world.
