Pakistan-China Media Friendship Association briefed about CPEC progress

ISLAMABAD: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is not something like making of a highway or motorway but it was a whole package of economic activities evolving around the expansion of existing roads and bridges infrastructure, building of a high-speed rail link, installing of power projects and other energy generation facilities, etc.

These views were expressed by the Project Director of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Major General ® Zahir Shah in a meeting with a group of senior journalists from Pakistan-China Media Friendship Association, led by the Chairman of the association Makhdoom Babar.

The group also included a high-level Chinese media delegation of China Yunan Daily Press Group Kunming, Yunnan Province China, comprising Mr. Wang Xufei, Director of Comments/editorial section, Mr.Zhang Tong, Deputy Director of Photography Department, Mr. Yang Zhihui, Reporter, Mr. Zu Hongbing, Reporter and Ms. Lian Huiling Reporter of The Spring City Evening News.

During the meeting, Shah said that CPEC will open a new era of development in the whole region.

“It is very essential to understand the depth and economic revolution that this project is set to bring after its completion,” Shah said, “It is a top priority project for being a Pakistan-China joint venture and furthermore that the project was set to reshape the economy of the entire region.”

Later, the Chinese media delegation expressed their great satisfaction over the progress on CPEC.
