Pakistan conducts training launch of ballistic missile Shaheen-1

Pakistan has successfully conducted training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Shaheen-1.

According to details Shaheen-1 is capable of delivering all types of warheads upto a range of 650 kilometers.

The launch was aimed at testing operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command, ensuring Pakistan’s credible minimum deterrence.

Pakistan conducts successful training launch of ballistic missile Shaheen-II

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Thursday conducted successful training launch of surface-to-surface ballistic missile Shaheen-II.

The training launch was aimed at ensuring operational readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command, said a press release issued here by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army.

Shaheen-II Missile is capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads upto a range of 1,500 kilometers. Shaheen-II is a highly capable missile which fully meets Pakistan’s strategic needs towards maintenance of desired deterrence stability in the region.

Today’s training launch, having its impact point in the Arabian Sea, was witnessed by Director General Strategic Plans Division, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Chairman NESCOM, senior officers from the Army Strategic Forces Command, Scientists and Engineers of the strategic organizations.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) and Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on conduct of today’s successful training launch.

President and Prime Minister of Pakistan have also conveyed their congratulations on the achievement.app

Pakistan launches S2S ballistic Missile ‘Nasr’ 

The Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) has today successfully conducted the training launch of Nasr, a short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile in order to augment operational efficiency and to revalidate the desired technical parameters.

According to details, Nasr is a high precision, shoot & scoot Weapon System with the ability of in-flight maneuverability. This weapon system has augmented full spectrum deterrence posture while remaining within the precincts of the policy of credible minimum deterrence, against prevailing and evolving threat spectrum more effectively including enemy’s ballistic missile defense and other air defense systems. 

Chairman JCSC, witnessing the launch ceremony, lauded the ASFC’s preparedness. President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and Services Chiefs have also congratulated on the successful conduct of the training launch.
