RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Pakistan have signed the annual Hajj agreement on Monday (13th Jan, 2025).
KSA Hajj & Umra Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah reiterated that all possible support will be provided to the Pakistani pilgrims.

According to details:
* One lakh nine thousand two hundred and ten Pakistanis will be performing Hajj this year: 89,602 under the government scheme, while the remaining under private scheme.
* The Pak-KSA agreement ensures that pilgrims get place for their sojourn in Mina at reduced tariff.
* Ministry of religious affairs will organise Hajj programme (lasting 20 to 25 days).
* Intended hajis will be offered an option to choose their accommodation in Madina for 4 to 8 days.
* Pilgrims will receive a bag with Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and relevant information.
* A special mobile app will update pilgrims apropos their Hajj group’s information, training schedule, flight details, accommodations in Saudi Arabia, and live maps and locations of sites during Hajj.
* Pakistani minister for religious affairs would participate in the 4-day int’l Hajj conference and expo organised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj in Jeddah. There additional agreements would be signed with entities providing facilities to intending hajis.
* Women will be prohibited from performing Hajj without the consent of their husbands or parents.
* Children below 12 will not be allowed to proceed for Hajj.
* Certificate, confirming that the intending haji had been vaccinated, is mandatory.
