HAINAN (China): Chinese Lunar Mission Chang’e-6, which was launched from here on Friday (3rd May, 2024), is set to employ lunar research payloads from a number of countries, including Pakistan’s Miniature Satellite iCube-Qamar.

HAINAN (China): Chinese Lunar Mission Chang’e-6 is expected to explore the dark side of the moon.

Pakistan’s CubeSat/Miniature Satellite iCube-Qamar was jointly designed and developed by Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco), Institute of Space Technology (IST) and Shanghai University.
After reaching the Lunar Orbit in 5 days the Miniatuer Satellite iCube-Qamar (equipped with two optical cameras), will conduct imaging of the moon’s surface over a period of 3-6 months.
