Pakistan-UK agree to establish joint Business Council

LONDON: Pakistan and United Kingdom Wednesday have agreed to establish a joint Pakistan-UK Business Council to enhance bilateral trade.

The move came after the visit of Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.

A joint statement issued on Thursday said that, acknowledging the potential for continued growth, both the sides agreed to establish joint Pakistan-UK Business Council comprising leading businessmen to be nominated by their respective governments.

“The two sides agreed to boost trade and investment between the two countries and new roadmaps on trade and investment and security cooperation,” read the statement.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said non-interference into others’ matters is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
