Pakistan Ulema Council lauds Road To Mecca Project

ISLAMABAD: The inclusion of Pakistan in ‘Road to Mekkah Project’ would facilitate Pakistani pilgrims, besides saving their precious time at Jeddah Ariport.

This was held by Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Secretary General International Tanzeem-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain Council, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi. 
He told that PUC was arranging training workshops to educate Hujjaj about Hajj rituals. Pakistan Ulema Council has also issued Code-of-Conduct to educate and guide pilgrims for their stay in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Hajj days, said a press release.
PUC has also announced to ensure optimum coordination between officials of Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and officials of Hajj in Saudi Arabia to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj days. Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi announced organising ‘Unity of Ummah Conference’ in 2nd week of July 2019 in Islamabad. Meanwhile the PUC has issued Code-of-Conduct for guidance of Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
To ensure implementation on Saudi rules and regulations, follow instructions of respective group leader; Try to stay away from controversial issues during stay in Saudi Arabia; Stay away from any political meetings and political gatherings; do not make political sloganeering during Hajj days in Saudi Arabia; do not indulge in any political controversies and campaigning; ensure cooperation and coordination with Saudi Law enforcement agencies during Hajj days; do not sit on alleys and paths aimlessly; do not take any medicine without doctor’s prescription; women and elderly should specifically stay away from rush-paces and say prayers at their respective residences in peak rush hours; youth included in the groups should take care of elderly, women and patients specifically during Hajj days; follow instructions and guidelines of instructors and group leaders while leaving for Mana and Arafat;follow instructions of Group leaders and guides on the eve of throwing pebbles at the Satan.
