Pakistan vs. India match: PCB says no committee formed to investigate national team’s defeat

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has denied forming any committee in the backdrop of national team’s defeat to India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Pakistan lost the match against arch-rival India by 124 runs. Pacers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir got injured during the match and were unable to carry on the rest of the match. Wahab Riaz was advised to skip the tournament and take rest.

Media reports on Tuesday claimed that the cricket board had formed a committee to investigate green shirts dismal performance against India. However, officials in PCB denied such reports.

“In response to a news circulating in the media, the PCB denies forming any committee to probe into the loss of Pakistan team against India “, said a spokesman.
