Pakistan will not let its soil to be used against Afghanistan: Pakistan army delegation tells officials

KABUL: A high-level Pakistan Army delegation headed by Chief of General Staff Lt Gen Bilal Akbar paid an official visit to Afghanistan on Thursday on the direction of Army chief General Qamar Jawed Bajwa.

The visit comes a day after former TTP spokesperson Ehsaanullah Ehsan confessed Afghanistan and India are funding the militant organisations for terrorism in Pakistan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation met Afghanistan’s acting Defence Minister Tariq Shah Bahramee and the Afghan Army Chief Gen Muhammad Sharif Yaftali.

The delegation assured Kabul that the Pakistan Army has control of all areas of the Pakistani side of the border and will not let its soil be used against Afghanistan.

“Terrorists are a common threat and will be defeated once and for all,” Lt. General Bilal Akbar was quoted as saying by the ISPR.
