Pakistan’s Hamza is the new World Jr. Squash Champ

MELBOURNE: Hamza Khan brought Pakistan back on the global Squash scenario after 37 years by beating Mohamed Zakaria of Egypt 3-1 to win World Junior Squash Championship here on Sunday (23rd of July, 2023).

It may be recalled that since Jansher Khan’s 1986 win no Pakistani squash player managed to reach the pinnacle. Nevertheless, Pakistan will have to understand that exceptions are not examples.

For instance, the greatest squash player of all time, Jahangir Khan (who won the World Open title 6 times, and the British Open title 10 times) did that individually, and Pakistan and its government just grasp at the occasion to claim the credit.

When each and every citoyen of the country has access to a form of sport, and all those who wish to practice that game play it. Only then that country could claim to be the champion of the monde if any of those players excel and clinch the top title.

What really happens in this corrupt country is that the well-fed usurpers of the wealth of the masses play games like golf, while those malnourished people, whose resources had been stolen, resort to play on the filth-filled gutters.
