ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Council of the Arts has been tasked with preparing a world-class rendition of the national anthem, originally composed by Ahmed G Chagla, using a highly professional orchestra to represent Pakistan’s cultural diversity.
This was decided at a meeting chaired by State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for celebrating 70th independence anniversary of Pakistan on August 14.
NCA Director General Jamal Shah is asked to submit a detailed creative proposal in this connection.
The meeting was attended, among others, by the Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the principal information officer of PID, and the directors general of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation.
