ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar has asked Pakistan Bureau of Statistics to chalk out a revised action plan for holding population and housing census for submission to upcoming meeting of Council of Common Interest.

He was chairing a meeting to review arrangements for the planned census in Islamabad on Saturday.

Chief Statistician of the Bureau gave the meeting an update on the arrangements undertaken so far by the Bureau and the level of preparedness of other related government bodies.

The Minister said it was resolve and endeavour of the government to hold the census in a befitting manner while ensuring it’s credibility and transparency.
