LAHORE: PDM’s Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman of JUI-F has announced here today that in the second phase of the ongoing movement, 11-party Alliance will lead the nation towards Islamabad by the end of Jan or early Feb next year and the resignations of lawmakers will be taken along.
Maintaining that the incumbent PTI-led Govt was brought to power not through the people’s votes but by the establishment he warned the defense organisations not to attempt to stop their march towards the Capital.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserting that PDM’s struggle was not for power but for the rights of people stated that Imran Khan became premier via empire’s signal. He said the time of dialogue had passed and the time was to march towards Islamabad.
“Selectors, listen clearly, you will have to listen to the public’s voice, you will have to accept their decision … the time for dialogue is gone, now there will be a long march,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
“Stop making phone calls, stop trying to establish contacts. No differences can be created between us, we will reach Islamabad and chase your puppet out. Once he is gone, then there can be dialogue,” PPP-P Chairman added.
Vice President of PML-N Mayam Nawaz, referring 2011 public rally held by PTI at the same venue, said that had been arranged by former ISI chief Shuja Pasha. She asked PML-N supporters to promise they would answer PDM’s call for the march to Islamabad.
Deposed PM Nawaz Sharif while addressing the ladies and gentlemen in the audience on the occasion by means of video link, asked who was answerable for the Imran Khan Govt.’s failings: “Stop political engineering factories in agencies,” he stated.
Nawaz Sharif held: “He says I won’t give an NRO. Who is asking you for an NRO? You and Aleema Khan got an NRO from Saqib Nisar yourself. They say, don’t take names? Tell me, what should we do? Is Imran Khan alone responsible for the predicament the country is in?”
Earlier, flag-waiving enthusiastic workers welcomed PDM leadership including PPP-P Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and JUI-F President Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman as they ascended the stage here today for the 6th and that last public meeting held in the first phase of PDM’s struggle.
