Permission granted: PTI allowed to hold rally at F-9 Park

ISLAMABAD: After days of warnings by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the government on Friday granted ‘conditional permission’ to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to hold its foundation day rally at F-9 Park on April 24.

According to sources, a high-level meeting was arranged to discuss the issue. The participants decided to grant the permission for the rally after talks.

A PTI spokesperson said that Interior Ministry gave ‘conditional permission’ to hold the rally and informed that participants of the rally would be allowed to enter the venue from the Nine Avenue gate of the F-9 Park.

Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan assured the interior minister that his party had no plan to enter the Red Zone and it would be only a day-long celebration.
