PFUJ condemns registration of fake FIR against Rashid Siddiq

KARACHI: G. M. Jamali, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and Secretary General Rana Muhammad Azeem have strongly condemned the registration of fake FIR against GNN’s Rashid Siddiq by KMC.

They noted that Rashid Siddiq was targeted only because he happened to be present during the skirmish between two officers. The aggrieved official, protesting against non-payment of salaries, hugged and kissed the concerned Director Jameel Faruqui before proclaiming that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

PFUJ demanding as to why GNN’s Rashid Siddiq was targeted while all the electronic and print media had run stories about the incident, demanded the Administrator Karachi, CM, Governor and the Federal Interior Minister to get the fake FIR quashed and initiate action against those who got that registered. Otherwise, PFUJ reserves the right to protest.
