PFUJ to commence movement against economic assassination of Media Workers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ)’ President Rana Muhammad Azeem and Secretary General G. M. Jamali have condemned the attempt by a number of Media Houses to subjugate journalists and other Media workers by means of retrenchments and non-payment of salaries for months.

They have announced the initiation of a movement against the economic assassination of Media workers from 10th September that will be observed as black day. Besides writing letters, protests before the Media Houses by all the Unions of Journalists legal battle will also be raged for which a team consisting of Aftab Bajwa (former secretary Supreme Court Bar), Amir Saeed (former secretary  High Court Bar) and Azhar Siddiq (Senior Advocate) has been formed.
