PK8303: Chinese FM sends message of condolence

BEIJING: Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi has sent a message of condolence to his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi over the tragic crash of PIA flight No. PK8303 on Friday 22nd of May, 2020. 

FM Wang Yi expressed sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved families. He grasped on the occasion to reiterate that  Chinese people were firmly standing together with the Pakistani people at this difficult time.

Earlier a number of world leaders have sent their messages of condolences: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a telephonic conservation with Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi reiterated that Turkey would stand by Pakistan in every difficult time. President Erdogan also extended best wishes of the government and people of Turkey for the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch of United Kingdom had expressed sincere condolences to the families of the cashed PIA aircraft victim”. The Queen held: “Prince Philip and I have been saddened by the news of the plane crash near Karachi on Friday. We send our most sincere condolences to you, the families and friends of those who died, and to the Pakistani people, particularly at the time of Eid. Elizabeth R”

British Foreign Secretary Diminic Raab had earlier said: “I’m deeply saddened to hear of the plane crash and loss of life in Karachi and my thoughts are with all those affected in this terrible tragedy.” Meanwhile, British High Commissioner Christian Turner, stated that he was deeply saddened by tragic PK8303 plane crash in Karachi: “Thoughts are with all those who have lost loved ones.”

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau stated: “Pakistan this morning is devastating. To the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the crash of PK 8303, and to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy, our hearts go out to you. Canadians are keeping you in our thoughts today.”

Indian PM Narendra Modi wrote: “Deeply saddened by the loss of life due to a plane crash in Pakistan. Our condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishing speedy recovery to those injured.”

President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani expressed his sorrow by Tweeting: “Deeply saddened by the loss of life due to a plane crash in Pakistan. Our condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishing speedy recovery to those injured.”

Leader of the Indian Congress party Rahul Gandhi said: “I’m sorry to hear about the air crash in Pakistan in which many lives have been lost. News of survivors is a ray of hope & I pray that there are many miraculous stories of survival tonight. My deepest condolences to the families of those who have perished.”
