PM Imran Khan felicitates G.M. Jamali on his election as PFUJ President

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has felicitated renowned journalist G. M. Jamali on his election as Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ)’s President unopposed. 

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Information Minister Punjab Fayyaz-ul-Hasan Chohan, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Federal Minister Information Fawad Chaudhry and others, while congratulating the newly-elected office bearers of PFUJ, assured of their support and said they would not allow the physical and economic target killing of Media Workers.

A relevant piece: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday congratulated newly-elected president of Pakistan Federal  Union of Journalists (PFUJ) GM Jamali, Secretary General Rana Azeem and other office-bearers. In his felicitation message, he hoped that newly elected PFUJ office-bearers would play a leading role in solving problems being faced by the journalist community.  He said the new PFUJ leadership would come up to the expectations of journalists, who reposed confidence in them. Sardar Usman Buzdar said that journalists community has played a vital role in the promotion of democracy and the strengthening of democratic institutions.  He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has a strong belief in freedom of expression.
