BEIJING: After two hectic days here Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for Islamabad today.
He was seen off by Chinese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Luo Zhaohui, Envoy of China to Pakistan Yao Jing and Pak Envoy to China Naghmana Hashmi.
Upon his departure Tri-Services Static Guard was presented to the Prime Minister by a smartly turned out contingent.

PM Imran Khan meets President Xi Jinping in Beijing
BEIJING: Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping here today and discussed various matters pertaining to bilateral terms and the state-of-affairs prevailing in the region.
Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Government of China for their principled stand on Kashmir issue. Imran Khan while referring to the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s stand on Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly acknowledged that China had supported Pakistan in difficult times.
Informing the Chinese President about Pakistan’s present situation Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked China for its financial cooperation in helping Pakistan getting out of economic crisis. According to Prime Minister Imran Khan China had never asked for anything for their unconditional support. He appreciated the Chinese contribution under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor framework.
The Chinese President lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for speaking on China-Pakistan relations during UN General Assembly’s session and reiterated that both countries enjoyed close friendly relations and cooperated each other in different fields.

Sino-Pak FTA would lead to more economic opportunities
BEIJING: During wide-ranging bilateral talks held here at the Great Hall of the People today between PMs Imran Khan and Li Keqiang the two countries agreed that the implementation of the second phase of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) would lead to more trade, economic and investment opportunities between the two countries.
According to details the Sino-Pak delegations exchanged views augmenting the volume of bilateral trade and explored ways of increasing Pakistan’s exports to China. Railways, steel, oil & gas, industry, science & technology were also discussed during the rendezvous.
Prime Minister Imran Khan grasped at the opportunity to congratulate the Chinese hosts on the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. PM held that Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Pakistan served the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples and contributed to peace, development and stability in the region.
According to Prime Minister Imran Khan speedy completion of CPEC projects was the foremost priority of his government as this was pivotal to accelerating Pakistan’s economic growth and regional affluence. Imran Khan also told the hosts about the measures taken recently to quicken CPEC venture.
Responding to Pakistani PM’s comments his counterpart Li Keqiang thanked Imran Khan for steps taken to advance CPEC projects. He reiterated China’s support for Pakistan’s issues of core national interest and maintained that the second phase of CPEC would be instrumental in reinforcing and consolidating Pakistan’s economic development.
Chinese PM further said that the CPEC would pave the way for enhanced Chinese investments in Pakistan. Sino-Pak delegations also discussed regional security situation including serious human rights and humanitarian situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Prime Minister Imran Khan informed Premier Li of the latest developments and the importance of immediate action by the global community to alleviate the sufferings of the populace in Kashmir in the lockdown. On the occasion various agreements and MoUs were signed aimed at further strengthening the Sino-Pak socio-economic ties.
