Machh Murders: PM and COAS set to visit Quetta, protesters agreed to bury dead

QUETTA: Fed. Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, following successful negotiations with Shuhda Committee, proclaimed the points agreed-upon. 

Informing that an agreement had been inked between Govt. and Shuhda Committee, for the first time in history of the country, Ali Zaidi told that the protesters, braving freezing temperatures with coffins on the road for the last six days,  had agreed to bury their dead.

Blaming the external forces for Machh tragedy, Zaidi stated: “Foreign elements wish to create sectarian division in Pakistan.” CM Balochistan Jam Mir Kamal Khan also spoke to the Media personnel.

Heirs of the slain miners have given permission for the burial, that will take place today (Saturday 9th of Jan). The bodies were taken away to be buried.

MWM has also called-off the sit-ins allover the country and maintained that the spilled blood of Machh miners would result into elimination of IS militants. According to sources, immediately after the enterrement PM Imran Khan and COAS Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa will take off from Nur Khan Airbase Rawalpindi for Quetta.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri, while announcing about their visit held: “We will try our utmost to serve you better… the system that does not have justice as a foundation does not prosper…You have honored us and Balochistan by agreeing to our request for the burial of the slain miners.”
