ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah on Wednesday has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was a risk for the national security.
Speaking in National Assembly (NA), Khurshid Shah expressed resentment over PM’s statement, in which he said Tehran had suffered terrorism from groups operating within Pakistan.
He said that PM wanted to contact Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi but he didn’t respond to his calls. We are brighter side of Pakistani politics and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is darker one, he added.
Earlier, opposition had demanded an explanation in NA over Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement during his recent tour to Iran. PPP lawmaker and former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar censured the cricket-turned-politician for his statements.
“Our prime minister stood beside the Iranian president and said that our soil was being used for terrorist activities. “This is not funny anymore, you cannot play with the destiny of this country ” Khar said in National Assembly.
