PM Nawaz to address the nation on Kashmir issue

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the nation today (Wednesday) evening to take the masses into confidence regarding the country’s Kashmir policy, said a statement issued here by PM House.

According to the statement, the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) will telecast the PM’s address.

Earlier, PM Nawaz had rebuked India in strong words and warned them that the movement for freedom of Kashmiris would not stop.

Earlier in a message on the occasion of Black Day against atrocities of Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, PM Sharif said that no state can be allowed to trample human rights in the name of political interests and state strategy.

He had vowed to stand by Kashmiris and dismissed India’s claims that Kashmir crisis was its internal issue

Pakistan and the rest of the world are observing ‘Black Day’ today to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and protest grave human rights violations by the Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.

On the occasion, many political parties are holding rallies and functions all over Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to draw the attention of the world community towards the burning issue of Kashmir.

Federal and provincial government employees will wear black arms bands to express political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.

Special prayers will also be held after Zuhr prayers across the country for martyrs of Kashmir.

Pakistani diaspora will lodge strong protests in front of the national Parliaments of their respective host countries and the United Nations organizations.
