PM Nawaz meets Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad

DOHA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Wednesday held a meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, after he arrived in Doha on two-day official trip.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation in different fields including energy, trade, investment and defence.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister will also meet the leadership of Qatar besides other important Qatri cabinet ministers.

A high-level delegation, including Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sohail Aman, is also accompany the Prime Minister.

A number of MoUs in the field of health, radio and television, education and research and a long- term Sale/Purchase Agreement  of Liquefied Natural Gas would be concluded by the both sides.

The main focus of the Prime Minister’s visit and interaction with the Qatari leadership will be on enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields. These include energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar.
