LAHORE: A PML-N delegation comprising former speaker of NA Ayaz Sadiq, former railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal called on Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House today.

Raja Parvez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Manzoor and Hasan Murtuza represented the PPP side alongwith the Chairman.

PML-N delegation discussed the overall political scenario of the country and pondered over the future political stratagem vis-à-vis APC agenda, its charter of demands.

According to PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb APC date would be decided following agreement of all opposition parties on a common agenda.

It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had telephoned PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who happens to be in the Walled City since Saturday (18th of July, 2020) evening. They agreed to have a tête-à-tête for further discussion.

Savants at the helm of affairs believe that following this rendezvous it is expected that the opposition spearheaded by PPP-P, PML-N and JUI-F would join forces to try to oust the incumbent PTI-led government.

Nevertheless, it had been declared by the two parties after the huddle that the opposition had agreed to call an All-Parties Conference (APC) immediately after Eid-ul-Azha in order to figure out a combined strategy to show the present government the door.

PML-N and PPP had also proclaimed that a Joint Action Committee (JAC) would be formed comprising Khawaja Asif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanullah, Marriyum Aurangzeb from PML-N side.

JAC, that has been tasked to figure out a modus operandi  against the government, will also harbor Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, Farhatullah Babar and Nayyar Bukhari from PPP-P side. Mian Iftikhar and Ameer Haider Khan Hoti will represent ANP in the Committee.  National Party’s Senator Mir Kabeer Shahi will also be part of the team.
