PML-N leaders still insist SC verdict doesn’t prove corruption allegations against Nawaz Sharif’

ISLAMABAD: It seems the verdict by the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif doesn’t affect his party leaders and supporters as they still insist that the premier is not proved ‘corrupt’.

Minutes after the Supreme Court disqualified the premier from holding public office over concealment of assets, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the verdict doesn’t prove any corruption allegations against Nawaz.

“Today’s Supreme Court verdict doesn’t prove corruption allegations against Nawaz Sharif,” the minister said while talking to the reporters today soon after the verdict was announced.

“History bears witness that whenever Nawaz Sharif was removed from the political scenario, the nation brought him back in Parliament with even more votes,” she asserted.

Marriyum was of the view that Nawaz will become prime minister for the fourth time with nation’s support.
