Toshakhana Case: Rangers, Police at the door of IK to arrest him

LAHORE: Baton-charging Police Tuesday (14th of March, 2023), under the command of DIG Operations Islamabad (who got injured along with 33 other cops), with the help of teargas shelling and water cannon, managed to disperse the stone-pelting, lathi-yielding PTI activists armed with slingshots, and reached the main gate of Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence displaying the court order to arrest the former PM and produce him before it.

LAHORE: Shahzad Bukhari, DIG Operations Islamabad, got injured (alongwith 14 cops) as the Police clashed with PTI workers outside Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence.

While Police continued shelling, PTI workers resorted to hurl petrol bombs setting the water canon on fire.

Imran Khan in a video message said that Police was there to arrest him. He said that the government thought that the nation would go to slumber once he was arrested. He asked the followers to prove the government wrong by getting out and fight for real freedom.

According to Imran Khan though he was blessed with everything by Allah he was only fighting for the people. PTI Chairman said that his followers will have to prove that they were a vibrant nation by continuing to struggle sans him.

Punjab Government has also called the paramilitary force Rangers to surround the Zaman Park. They will remain in Lahore till 22nd of March, 2023 in order to support the Islamabad Police that landed here by means of helicopters.

Red Alert has been imposed in Islamabad to contain any possible reaction following the imminent arrest of Imran Khan.

Emergency has been declared at hospitals and the staff at medical facilities has been asked to remain alert and keenly follow the development to handle any untoward situation.

Meanwhile, PTI’s Ch Fawad Hussain Tweeted that the arrest warrant in the Toshakhana case has been challenged in the Lahore High Court that would hear the case shortly. Shibli Faraz and Barrister Gohar reached the IHC.

However, IHC rejecting the request to hear the case immediately, stated that the matter would be heard on Wednesday (15th of March, 2023).

PTI took to the twitter to ask its workers to reach Zaman Park to stop Police arrest him:
