KOHAT (KP): DSP Asad Mehmood of Lachi, a Police inspector and four constables lost their lives when militants opened fire at their Police van, near Shakardara Road here on Tuesday (24th Feb, 2026).
According to details the posse was escorting two individuals who were to be produced before a court of justice. One of them and a civilian passer-by succumbed to their injuries. Militants also set the Police mobile on fire.
