EAST YORKSHIRE COAST: Portuguese-flagged Cargo Vessel Solong (carrying 15 containers of sodium cyanide) rammed into anchored US-flagged Oil Tanker Stena Immaculate here at Monday (10th March, 2025).

Oil tankers jet fuel is spilling into the North Sea. MP Graham Stuart confirmed that crews of both the ships have been accounted for. Ambulance service informed that non of the 37 mariners was hospitalised.

It is pertinent to mention here that the United States-flagged Tanker, that turned into a fireball following the collision, is one of the ten such vessels the US military utilizes to transport oil during conflicts or emergencies.
