PPP asks Punjab govt to implement on production orders of Zardari, Talpur

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has asked the Punjab government to implement on production orders of former president and Co-chairman of the party Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur.

Officials of the party, in formal letters, sought prompt action on production orders issued prior for their political leaders currently detained in Adiala Jail.

The letter demanded that both leaders be freed from their custody and be allowed to attend their respective assembly sessions.

Zardari and Faryal Talpur have been detained under ongoing investigations on multiple corruption charges by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
