PPP-P’s Gilani is the new Senate Opp. Leader

ISLAMABAD: Former PM Yousuf Raza Gilani has been appointed as Senate’s Leader of the Opposition here today.

Gilani had recently caused a major upset when he got elected to the Senate after defeating Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, candidate of PTI-led coalition government.

Gilani, later attempted to perch at the top slot but lost to Sadiq Sanjrani when the PO rejected seven of his votes. It is pertinent to mention here that Gilani’s application had been filed with signatures from a total of 30 senators.
