President approves Anti-Rape Ordinance 2020

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved the Anti-Rape Ordinance 2020 here today.

Under the Ordinance, special courts will be set up all over Pakistan and rape cases will be disposed off within four months. Anti-Rape Crisis Cells will be established and authorized to conduct medico-legal examination within six hours of the incident.

With the support of NADRA a record will be prepared at national level in order to register the perpetrators. Furthermore, revealing of the identity of rape victims will be a punishable offense.
