President PFUJ G M Jamali presides over IFJ Congress session

MUSCAT: GM Jamali, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), who is attending the 31st International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) World Congress being held here (from 31st May till 3rd of June, 2022) as head of a PFUJ delegation presided over a session. Various motions on journalism and other issues were passed.

Resolution of PFUJ, tabled by Ehtesham-ul-Haq and Jamil Mirza has been supported by all the delegates and approved by consensus. Accordingly, Urdu language has also been included in the official language of Asia Pacific along with English, French and Arabic.

In the Gender Council session of the IFJ Congress, PFUJ Vice President Shehr Bano highlighted the problems faced by Asian women journalists besides Pakistan. She also offered suggestions to contain the issues.

RIUJ President Shakeel Ahmed, who was part of the PFUJ delegation, interacted with a number of delegates from different countries and lobbied for PFUJ.

تفصیلات کے مطابق مسقط میں منعقدہ اکتیسویں آئی ایف جے ورلڈ کانگرس کے دوران پی ایف یو جے کے صدر جی ایم جمالی پینل کے صدر نامزد کئے گئے جن کی صدارت میں منعقدہ اجلاس میں آزادئی صحافت, دنیا بھر میں صحافیوں کو درپیش مسائل, کورونا پینڈیمک کے صحافت پر اٹرات اور دیگر  امور بارے مختلف قرار دادیں منظور کی گئیں۔

ان قرار دادوں میں پی ایف یو جے کی جانب سے احتشام الحق اور جمیل مرزا کی جانب سے انگلش,فرنچ اور عربی کے ساتھ اردو زبان کو بھی بطور آفیشل لینگوئج منظور کرنے کی قرار داد پیش کی گئی جس کی تمام ڈیلیگیٹس نے تائید کی اور قرارداد اتفاق رائے سے منظور کر لی گئی۔

آئی ایف جے کانگرس کے جنڈر کونسل سیشن میں پی ایف یو جے کی نائب صدر شہر بانونے پاکستان کے علاوہ اشیائی  خواتین صحافیوں کو درپیش مسائل پر روشنی ڈالی اور انہیں حل کرنے کے لئے تجاویز بھی پیش کیں۔

پی ایف یو جے وفد میں شامل آر آئی یو جے کے صدر شکیل احمد نے مختلف ممالک کے وفود سے ملاقاتیں کر کے پی ایف یو جے کے لئے لابنگ کی۔
