President, PM, and other leaders condemn Quetta blast




ISLAMABAD: Pakistani politicians have condemned the Quetta bombing at Civil Hospital that killed at least 60 people on Monday.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif denounced the bombing and said that terrorists are on the run that’s why they are attacking soft targets.

“No one will be allowed to disturb the peace that has been restored due to countless sacrifices of security forces, police and the people of Balochistan,” said PM Nawaz Sharif. He directed the authorities to maintain utmost vigilance and beef up security for the legal fraternity and members of civil society.

The PM also directed Balochistan’s health department for the provision of best treatment to those injured in the attack.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.

Deploring the loss of precious lives in the incident, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the gruesome attack was another pathetic move by the terrorists.

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned the suicide attack and said that such a huge loss by terrorists has sent mourning waves across the country and those martyred in the bomb blast were all our brothers and sisters.

“Terrorists are targeting hospitals, schools and other public places to shake our will to fight back. But, entire Pakistani nation was united to crush the monster of terrorism with full national might,” PPP Chairman said in a statement issued by PPP media cell.

PPP Chairman said our thoughts and prayers go for those martyred and the injured and asked Balochistan government for best possible treatment to the wounded and in case need it can contact Sindh government for help in medical treatment.

Sindh CM offers support to those injured in Quetta blast

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah telephoned Balochistan’s Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri and expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in Quetta terror attack.

“Sindh government stands with Balochistan government and the people in this sad situation. We will fight terrorism together and destroy terror networks from the country,” Sindh CM said.

Murad Shah also offered to have the injured brought to Karachi so as to offer them a more effective treatment.
