WASHINGTON: Prime Minister Imran Khan has become the first Pakistani PM to have traveled via commercial flight for an official foreign visit!
Pakistan government has stated in social media that at Washington PM was received by Senior Officials of US State Department, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Ambassador of Pakistan to USA Dr. Asad M. Khan.
He has opted to stay at the Ambassador’s official residence instead of an expensive hotel. Here PTI supporters gathered to welcome him.

During his first trip to USA as PM, Imran Khan is scheduled to hold talks with President Donald Trump twice.
It is expected that the parleys will help in ameliorating the Pak-US ties and expanding bilateral cooperation on trade & investment. The talks will also contribute towards ensuring peace in South Asia.
The rendezvous is set to take place at Oval Office which will then extend to a working luncheon to be attended by Cabinet members and senior Pentagon leaders.
Prime Minister is also scheduled to address Pakistani-Americans. He will also interact with top American lawmakers and Pakistan Caucus on the Capitol Hill.
During his stay Imran Khan will also meet IMF acting chief David Lipton, World Bank President David Malpass and the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
PM is accompanied by Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Special Assistant on Overseas Zulfi Bukhari and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was already in Washington before his arrival.

ISLAMABAD: In order to limit expenses Prime Minister Imran Khan will stay at the residence of the Pakistani Ambassador to Washington during his official visit to USA on invitation of President Trump.

Shafqat Mahmood was talking to the Media during a Press Conference held here today to inform journalists about the decisions taken during the Cabinet Meeting that was chaired by PM Imran Khan. “Every effort will be made to minimize expenditures during this visit,” he maintained.

According to details US President Donald J. Trump will welcome Imran Khan at the White House on 22nd of July. The visit will focus on strengthening Pak-US cooperation to bring peace, stability, and economic prosperity to the region.
President Donald Trump and PM Imran Khan will discuss a number of issues including counter-terrorism, defense, energy, and trade, with an aim of creating the conditions for a peaceful South Asia and lasting partnership between the two countries.
