ISLAMABAD: Shiite protesters converged here on Friday before Foreign Office to present a memorandum to the spokesman urging Pakistan to drop out of the Saudi-led military Alliance “meant to combat terrorism”.

Pakistan’s participation in the alliance was dubious until the Saudi Foreign Minister met Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif yesterday.

Elsewhere another group of about 1500 people condemned the execution of prominent Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr by Saudi Arabia.
