M. M. ALAM

KARACHI: Syed Mustafa Kamal while addressing the first public gathering of Pak Sarzamin Party (PSP) here at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Sunday said that very soon PSP will be announcing its manifesto.

Stressing on transfer of power to grassroots level  through Union Councils he said that a common man should have authority to manage affairs like his own potable water. Senators, MNAs and MPAs should  concentrate on making laws instead of embezzling funds in the name of development.

He said that there was no need of more provinces. Instead the local government should be introduced. He said that the Union Council level accountability would be effective more than NAB because the people will own the country and would not let anybody to do corruption even at grassroots level.

Pointing towards the economic importance of Karachi he said that it was generating 70% revenue for Pakistan. But he lamented that none of the  parties of the country ever  tried to provide facilities to the karachiites and jobs to its youngsters.

He said that soon Karachi will  become a mini-Pakistan of peaceful citizens.
