PSX: Bearish bourse closes at 40,611 shedding 489 points!

KARACHI: As prevailing political noise had prevented bulls from entering the bourse on week’s second day of trading too, benchmark KSE-100 Index plummeted 1.19 percent.

Rs. 6.5b worth of 184m shares changed hands today. Value of the shares of 273 companies crashed down, 73 augmented while 21 remained stagnant.

Today’s trading was dominated by KE with 76.7m shares (-7.51%). Other top four  traders of shares on week’s second day of trading were: TRG Pak Ltd., 7.7m shares (-0.14pc); JS Bank Ltd., 6.1m shares (+0.50pc); Engro Polymer, 5.0m shares (-2.88pc); Azgard Nine, 4.7m shares (-2.10pc).
