PSX: Bears bleed the bourse red that sheds over 600 points!

KARACHI: Last week’s euphoria seems to have vanished in thin air with the bourse vibrating with the growling of bears forcing KSE-100 Index close at 41,483 shedding 504 points today.

Rs. 8b worth of 153.4m shares changed hands on the week’s first day of trading. Value of the shares of 239 companies plummeted, 93 augmented and 22 remained stagnant.

Engineering, Oil/Gas Marketing and Textile Sectors dominated the trading with 31.6m, 18.8m and 16.7m shares respectively.

Today’s top five traders of shares were: Dost Steels Ltd., 19.5m shares (+1.48pc); Azgard Nine, 15.3m shares (+4.99pc); Sui Northern Gas, 9.8m shares (+3.52pc); Engro Polymer, 8.3m shares (-4.52pc); TRG Pak Ltd.,  6.8m shares (-3.22pc).
