PSX: Ongoing political noise did not allow bourse go beyond 40000!

KARACHI: Due to ongoing political noise Benchmark KSE-100 index closed at 39,673 with a puny little augmentation of 39 points.

Rs. 6.6b worth of 115m shares changed hands today. Value of the shares of 174 companies augmented, 140 plummeted, while 22 remained stagnant.

Today’s top five traders of shares were: TRG Pak Ltd., 17.1m shares (+4.68pc); K-Electric Ltd., 11.0m shares (+2.61pc); Azgard Nine, 10.1m shares (+5.16pc); Fauji Cement,  9.4m shares (+0.82pc); Engro Fertilizers, 4.8m shares (-0.02pc).
