ISLAMABAD: PTI’s founding member, Akbar S. Babar, quoting Section 208 of the Election Act (2017), has challenged the intra-party polls in ECP on Tuesday ( 5th of Dec, 2023).

Akbar S. Babar, asserting that PTI hoodwinked the ECP, lamented that members of the Party were not allowed to take part in the intra-party elections.

In his petition Akbar S. Babar requested the ECP:

i) To declare the held intra-party elections null and void;

ii) To hold new intra-party elections;

iii) To appoint a neutral third party to supervise the intra-party-elections; and

iv) To refrain PTI from using the election symbol of bat till new intra-party-elections are held.
