Punjab CM: CJ LHC orders Alvi to appoint rep to administer oath

LAHORE: CJ LHC Justice Ameer Bhatti has directed President Dr. Arif Alvi to appoint a representative to administer oath to the CM-elect Hamza Shahbaz since Governor of Punjab Omar Sarfaraz Cheema has refused to administer the oath. 

It may be recalled that earlier Hamza Shahbaz had filed a plea against the Punjab Governor for not fulfilling his constitutional duty.

When informed that the Governor was available but was refusing to perform his duty, the CJP issued the short order.
