Punjab govt allows PAT to stage sit-in at Mall Road

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahir ul Qadri left his house to reach Mall Road after the Punjab government allowed his party to stage its protest sit-in.

The decision came after the Lahore High Court (LHC) had devised a five-member committee comprising DC Lahore, CCPO, advocate general, and lawyers to resolve the dispute between the provincial government and PAT.

Earlier, the district government had suggested holding the rally from Government Chowk to Istanbul Chowk, which was rejected by PAT.
