Punjab seeks army’s help to face ‘Chotu Gang’




RAJANPUR: Operation against notorious ‘Chootu Gang’ enters in the 18th consecutive day in Punjab and it is still unclear whether it will come up to a logical end or not.

After 10 police personnel martyred and several others injured in the operation, Punjab government sought army’s help to eliminate the gangsters.

Inspector General (IG) Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera held a meeting with Corps Commander Multan and requested for military’s help in the operation.

The operation, named Zarb-e-Ahan, is being carried out at Kacha (riverbed area) of Indus River between Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
