Qatar to invest $22 bln in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Qatar is expected to announce big investment in Pakistan during the visit of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s visit.

Emir of Qatar is visiting Pakistan on Sunday (June 23) with top official. He will hold talks with Pakistani leadership during his stay in the country.

The $22 billion investment from the Gulf state would have positive impact over the economy of Pakistan, economists said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his tweet, said: “This comes as a second major investment in the country after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had announced to invest $21 billion in Pakistan in three phases under its investment plan.”
