Quetta: Bomb explosion in a seminary kills 15 including Imam and a DSP

QUETTA: Six people (including DSP Amanullah) died and 21 got injured when a bomb exploded inside a seminary during Maghrib prayers in (densely populated Pashtun-majority) Ghausabad area of Satellite Town here today.

Rescue personnel shifted the dead and injured to Quetta’s Civil Hospital. Sources in the medical facility informed that death toll might rise because many got critically wounded. Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the concerned authorities to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.

So far no militant outfit has claimed the responsibility for the bombing.

President Dr. Arif Alvi commenting on the explosion stated that the entire nation was united against nefarious designs of the enemies. PPP-P Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari demanded that the planners of terrorism in the province be brought to justice.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan held that state enemies were once again trying to create a law and order situation in Balochistan. Leader of the Opposition in NA Mian Shehbaz Sharif took to Twitter to condemn the blast. JUI-F chief Fazl-ur-Rehman called on the Balochistan government to bring its perpetrators to book after investigating the blast.

ISPR while commenting on the explosion stated: “FC Bln troops reached Qta blast site. Area cordoned off. Joint search operation with police in progress. Injured being evacuated to hosp. “Every possible assistance be given to police & civil administration. Those who targeted innocents in a mosque can never be true Muslim”, COAS.

QUETTA: As a result of an explosion caused by an IED planted on a motorcycle parked near a FC vehicle two people died and fourteen got wounded on McConaghey Road, close to Liaquat Bazar here today (Tuesday 7th of January, 2020).

According to details, two bodies were brought to Civil Hospital while another 14 injured (including a couple of FC personnel) have been admitted to the facility’s trauma wing. It is pertinent to mention here that Quetta – that is known as a violence-prone area – remained peaceful for few weeks.

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) personnel’s vehicle was targeted on evening of Friday (15th of November, 2019) in Kuchlak area by means of an improvised explosive devise (IED) killing two and injuring five others.

According to details FC personnel were on routine patrol in the area when their vehicle was targeted. The injured were rushed to nearby medical facilities.

IED planted in a motorcycle explodes wounding 9 in Quetta

QUETTA: Unknown culprits have targeted a police van here today wounding nine people including policemen by means of an IED they have planted on a motorcycle that exploded at the Spinny Road.

The injured were shifted to Quetta Civil Hospital’s trauma center, where an emergency was imposed.

IED blast in Quetta leaves cops dead and wounded

QUETTA: As a result of an explosion here at Double Road today at-least one cop (member of the Police Rapid Response Force) lost his life and several got injured.

According to details unidentified militants had planted an IED here in a motorcycle parked on the roadside.

The bomb was detonated as soon as a police mobile passed by. Due to the blast two parked vehicles and nearby shops were also affected.

Those injured are being given medical treatment at Civil Hospital here. Meanwhile, Police and FC personnel cordoned off the site of the blast while investigation of the incident was underway.
